An official launch or opening event is a good way of promoting your project to your local community and acknowledging the funding your organisation has received.
Ways to acknowledge the Fund at your event
-
Include the full acknowledgment statement in the media release used to publicise the event or official launch.
- In your media release, advise of potential photo/video footage opportunities for your local media.
-
Include the full acknowledgment statement in opening or closing speeches when thanking major sponsors.
-
Invite the Deputy Premier and/or the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Committee Chairperson to attend. Due to the number of invitation requests, it is important to provide at least six weeks notice. (Please contact the Gambling Community Benefit Fund's Communications Officer if you are inviting the Treasurer).
-
Where possible, at major events ask the Deputy Premier or department officials to present the grant cheque.
-
An acknowledgment signage or plaque can be used to commemorate the official opening of a facility upgrade.
