FAQs about funding limits

Answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about limits to funding are outlined below. If your question is not covered please contact us.

We're an unincorporated craft group and the local Lions Club is sponsoring us. Does this mean we can apply for more than $5,000?

No, your organisation cannot apply for a grant for more than $5,000. Unincorporated organisations that are not a branch of a statewide organisation or a program or service operated by the sponsor can only apply for a grant up to $5,000.

If our organisation is applying for a grant for less than $5,000, do we still need a sponsor?

Yes. Unincorporated groups are still required to have an incorporated organisation sponsor their application.

Our local Scout group is unincorporated but our sponsor, Scouts Queensland, is a statewide body and is incorporated. How much can we apply for?

As a branch of a statewide body, your organisation can apply for a grant of up to $30,000.
