Gambling Community Benefit Fund

$9 million in funding approved for 496 projects

Changes to Eligibility

Following this round (closing 31 August 2008) organisations must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) to be eligible for funding.

Updated Funding Application Package

An updated Funding Application Package is now available.

When do applications close?

The next closing date for applications to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund is 31 August 2008. All applications must be posted. Applications postmarked on or before 31 August 2008 will be considered for the 58th round.

The four annual funding round closing dates are:

28 February, 31 May, 31 August and 30 November.

What does the GCBF do?

The Fund provides one-off grants of up to $30,000 to Queensland based not-for-profit community groups. The annual funding round closing dates are:

28 February, 31 May, 31 August and 30 November.

Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation

In addition to administering the community benefit funds and responsible gambling initiatives, the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation regulates casinos, charitable gambling, machine gaming, interactive gambling, keno, lotteries and wagering.  Regulatory activities include licensing premises and persons, investigating complaints, conducting prosecutions and ensuring industry compliance with gambling legislation.
